This method uses the reflexion of acoustic pulses from the sole of the river to measure the velocity of the moving boat relative to the bed. Read more...The flexible operating concept was of course retained - with DataLog Wireless Hydro XR you could be fully concentrate on your measurements. The range has been doubled compared to the "normal" version - now your are able to carry out measurements in even greater distance.

We taken care for several things in terms of very specific area of operation such as simple usability and configurability by the user. This allows a simple joining of the components, such as an ADCP and a GNSS module, the accumulating data streams are evaluated with the software supplied by the manufacturer. The special housing is designed for use in the hydrometry and protects the electronics from environmental influences such as humidity, dust and hard knocks.

Conventional solution with transmitting and receiving unit
The conventional solutions on the market for data transfer use a transmitter and a receiver unit. On the receiving end, existing components, such as battery and various cables, however, prevent effective work, such as data aquisition of a water profile. In this case a permanent assembling and diassembling is necessary when moving to the next point of measurement. The "flying" cables represents are a not to be underestimated risk of accident.

DataLog Wireless Hydro - No need for receiving unit and battery
With the DataLog Wireless Hydro receiving unit (see Fig 2) falls away and thus the required components such as battery, cables etc - the risk of accidents is reduced significantly. DataLog Wireless Hydro "moved" the serial ports directly into the laptop. An assembling and diassembling - such as data aquisition of a water profile - between the individual, nearby monitoring sites is no longer necessary.
By using special software, the necessary interfaces will be provided to the operating system and you can conveniently access with your existing evaluation software onto provided data streams by DataLog Wireless Hydro. The system is configured through a web-based user interface, which can be used with a standard browser (IE, Mozilla Firefox).
With the software option TrueVoltage DataLog Wireless Hydro XR monitors continuously the electrical system of your ADCP system and informs you about the charge status of your battery. So you will be warned in time e.g. during an ADCP discharge measurement.
